Tallahassee tourism is on the rise

Change is on the track in Tallahassee.

This news was delivered by the Leon County Division of Tourism (Visit Tallahassee) on Tuesday with the rollout of its pumped up marketing campaign titled “It’s ALL in Tallahassee.”

A 100-page visitor guide was also published featuring the nooks and crannies that make Tallahassee home to thousands and attractive to millions, along with other commonly known attractions.

Kerri Post, the executive director for Visit Tallahassee said, “The destination is maturing, and our marketing is maturing. We’re getting more savvy.”

Post said that the goal is to focus on districts, such as CollegeTown, Downtown, Midtown and Uptown. From food to fun, she said that the focus will help the development of Tallahassee’s tourism industry.

Traditional and digital billboards will return on I-10 for the first time in five years.
“Leon County’s tourism economy continues to evolve with big benefits to our community,” said Leon County Commission Chairman John Dailey, in a statement. “The positive growth and change is hard to miss as educational, social and cultural offerings in our area continue to take shape.”
